Project Name: Teesha Moore Patch Tote/Purse
Team/Ninja: Team Control Freaks
Brief Description: I had a REALLY hard time deciding what to make my "theme"...its been a few weeks now. But I decided to make a bag of things that make me happy! So just a bunch of things that scream "me". Or at least mumble "me" in a cute way. LOL

This will be my first patch bag (Discovery points Wink ) I didn't join the Teesha swap because I wanted to make something for me. I will be using fabric, batting, embroidery, fabric paint, buttons, sequins, odds and ends, inkjet iron-ons, beads, zippers, Rit Dye, Lace, ribbon, Snaps, yarn, felt, tea, permanent marker. Probably some blood...since Im new to embroidery. Maybe a few tears.

Week 1: Im going to be sketching my patches. Deciding on the dimensions of the bag and getting the fabric/materials all in one place. I have set aside a super cute journal that I received in a swap to design my patches and all of my art supplies are out so I can give the sketches lots of details...I am estimating 20 smile-inducing patches. I will need to decide on the handles I want to use, too.

Week 2: Making Patches!

Week 3: Sewing the Bag together and lining it.

Research Project Proposal
Project Name: Audrey II
Team/Ninja:S/F
Brief Description: I have been wanting to make a replica of Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors for a long time. I recently saw an inspiring picture that has reignited this urge.

Week 1: Material order (I want the proper can) and pattern sketching

Week 2: Cut out materials and begin assembly

Week 3: Finish assembly and embellish

One question I do have is what if we go over our proposed time? Am I supposed to contact you or just let it go? I'm obviously not planning on that happening, but summer life can be unpredictable here.

Challenge/Battle/Alert:June Randomizer (No Brain)
Team/Ninja: S/F
Project Geekdom (if any): Star Wars/ S/F
Bonus Points: Super Nerdy
Project Name: Minti-Chlorians
Brief Description: I've made homemade altoids a dozen times, it's super easy and I can cut them out while doing other things... definitely a no brainer. My boys wanted to go with a Star Wars styled theme for Father's Day. We made him a tin of Minti-Chlorians to go with the rest of the gift. I think they used to be sold, but we made ours. I used this recipe for the altoid like mints http://thebearfootbaker.com/2013/01/valentine-altoids/
I remade the graphic from inspiration online. Adhered it to the tin and tada!

PS I've come to realize I'm a terrible photographer and I only seem to finish projects when it rains, Sorry about the photo quality

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June - Horror
Team/Ninja: Team Spooky
Project Geekdom (if any): Crazy Cat Lady
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Lotus Cat Food Label
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I made a label similar to the ones used in my all time favorite B-Horror Movie - The Corpse Grinders  This movie is so bad it's good.  It's about these guys who run a cat food company but they can't afford to buy meat so they resort to digging up dead bodies and grinding them up.  And what could go wrong?  Apparently, the cats develop a taste for human flesh and begin attacking their owners.  It's awesome.  Oh and the cat food starts selling so well that the cemetary can't keep up with demand.  The bodies have to come from somewhere...
There are so many Bad/Amazing parts in it.  The doctor miraculously has a medical book that tells him what is going on. There is a cat attacking a half naked woman scene.  There are all these "deaf" people working for this broke cat food company but their sign language is the same sign over and over and it's completely made up.
Also, that's my cutsie poo cat on the label. Also, Also, this is the first time I've used the program Paint to create anything. ( I know I'm behind the times)  On one side it has a statement about how this cat food will make your cat love you and follow you around but that Lotus isn't responsible for "over affectionate behavior". ha ha  The other side has the nutrition facts I copied from a can of the lotus cat food props they used from the movie.  It's got a list of ridiculous animal meat and then it says "absolutely no humans were harmed in the making of this product". Ha!  On the front it's got my cat, Pi, and it says "For cats who love people".  Just FYI there are two sequels to this movie and they get more and more ridiculous.  For me, they were too ridiculous.  This one was just the right amount of absurd and still kind of creepy because, I don't know about you, but sometimes my cat looks at me like he'd like to eat me and I wonder who switched his cat food.
