I can not keep up with the awesomeness!

Mike Wazowski rocks!!!

Love the 'some pig' embroidery

The pink, white, & black yarn do lend themselves perfectly to a draculaura cowl. Very nice.

Making a skirt out of a tablecloth is a great idea! I love how that turned out!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May, Fandom: Worth the Wait
Team/Ninja: Commercial Free All-Stars
Project Geekdom: TV
Bonus Points: Discovery (the foundation double crochet stitch), Engineering, Nerdy Super Bonus
Project Name: Doctor Who Fingerless Gloves-Child

Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424644.0#axzz2WP7N2JE6

Brief Description: I started these gloves a while ago, when I decided to finish them I found out I had made them to large. I ripped them out and started over, this time deciding to use the foundation double crochet stitch. It took me 3 or 4 different tutorials to figure out that stitch. These gloves are easy to tailor if you are with the person you are making them for.

Materials Used: yarn, 5.00 hook, 4.25 hook-owned

I been a bit of a slacker this summer.  But I think I'm ready to go, and finally have some projects to share with you all!  Cheesy Cheesy

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Mulitmedia
Team/Ninja: Ninja (Whedonverse)
Project Geekdom (if any): Doctor Who
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Roses are Red, Fezzes are too...
Brief Description: I love Doctor Who and am quite saddened to see Matt Smith leaving the show  Cry so I decided to salute him by creating a Fez.  Because after all, fezzes are cool!!  I used wool felt for the hat body and to give it structure I added a layer of thin craft foam to line the interior.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Wordy
Team/Ninja: Ninja (Whedonverse)
Project Geekdom (if any): The Whedonverse (Avengers)
Bonus Points: Super Nerdy & Discovery
Project Name: Fingerless Iron Man Gloves
Brief Description: I decided to write a haiku about Iron Man and create this pair of gloves to accompany it.  I used a pattern that I found at Ravelry.  This was my first attempt at crocheting in the round, and while the gloves are a bit snug I'm pleased with the way they turned out.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Textbook
Team/Ninja: Ninja (Whedonverse)
Project Geekdom (if any): none
Bonus Points: none
Project Name: Rainbow Waves Scarf
Brief Description:  I fell in love with this rainbow yarn a few weeks ago while browsing my local JoAnns and I knew it needed to be a scarf.  I found a pattern for a chevron/wave pattern, popped in the first season of Supernatural and crocheted away.  Now I just need to wait until autumn to wear it.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Battle Royal - Horror
Team/Ninja: Ninja (Whedonverse)
Project Geekdom (if any): none
Bonus Points: none
Project Name: Edward Gorey Hoop
Brief Description: I first discovered the artwork of Edward Gorey as a child watching the opening of Masterpiece Mystery on PBS.  Since then I have loved his style mixed with the macabre/horror subject matter and doing an embroidery of his work has been on my to-do list for a while now.  I chose an image from the book The Gashlycrumb Tinies, which is a children's alphabet book about how 26 children meet their untimely deaths.  I chose the page for "K", which says "K is for Kate, who was struck with an axe."  I tried to use very little outlining and tried to replicate the "pen sketch" look in the finished hoop.
