Challenge: May Textbook
Team: Of Ships and Men
Project Geekdom: Sci-Fi
Bonus Points: Discovery and Super nerdy
Project Name: Oh My Stars jewelry set
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=423711.0#axzz2TblfXV6j
Brief Description: Whether sailing among them or sailing under them, the stars are a sailor's best friend. At first I thought this would be the hardest challenge, and then it ended up being my first! I started with the bracelet, which has 13 stars, but then I thought why stop there? The earrings have three stars each, and the necklace four, so when added all up there are 23 stars!
Although I've closed jump rings before, this was the first time I've done the wiggling closed technique, so I think that counts for Discovery.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Multimedia Challenge
Team/Ninja:  Commercial Free All-Stars
Bonus Points: Giver
Project Name:  Fleece items for Romania
Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques/recipe used, any fun tips, etc.)  Leslieshappyheart posted this thread about an opportunity to craft winter items for needy families in Romania through Craft Hope.  I had left over fleece from Christmas and used it to make two red scarves and one blanket.  I made a set in blue fleece as well, but since I would definitely take the red pill I had to submit the red items for this challenge.  Smiley  The shipping deadline is Monday, so I finished these tonight and will send them off on Saturday.  I'm also sending three scarves I previously knitted.

misskohaku-Love the star jewelry! I've never seen star-shaped beads like those, before. I'll have to keep an eye out for some!

LovelyMiss- Crafting for Craft Hope is a great idea! I'll have to think about charity items for future challenges.

Challenge: May Multimedia; I choose Red

Team: The Team that goes Bump in the Night

Project Geekdom (if any): Classic Spooky; Edgar Allan Poe

Bonus Points: Nerdy, Super Nerdy, Discovery

Project Name: It is the Beating of his Hideous Heart!

Brief Description:  Is it the painful reality of a guilty conscience, or is it  - Madness?!   The Telltale Heart is one of Poes most famous stories.  I chose the Old Mans beating heart as my Red.  Ive been wanting to try a technique of layering fabrics with embroidery and this seemed a perfect opportunity. My primary medium as an artist is sculpture and Im not entirely comfortable working in two dimensions, but I thoroughly enjoyed this project.  I learned a great deal and look forward to doing more work of this kind.

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Randomizer
Team/Ninja: Team Who Must Not Be Named
Project Geekdom (if any): Harry Potter
Bonus Points: Super Nerdy!
Project Name:  Bracelet
Brief Description: I turned this free race bracelet I found into a cute blue bracelet with the quote "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live" by Albus Dumbledore.  I made a new bracelet band with some cute fabric scraps I had and decoupaged the quote onto the metal part of the bracelet.
