I went back to edit the title of my Jon Snow submission, and it made me take out the picture when I tried to save it.  Sorry, alwaysinmyroom, I think you had added the pic for me Sad

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Battle Royale- Pirates
Team/Ninja:S/F
Project Geekdom (if any): Princess Bride- Uber Geekdom
Bonus Points: Discovery Super Nerdy
Project Name: Dread Pirate Roberts School Shirt
Brief Description: Our favorite local small theater has fun theme nights once a week alternating between B Horror Movies and "Cult Classics" For an upcoming "Cult Classic" night they'll be showing The Princess Bride (though considered more fantasy than sci-fi, there are some very definite sci-fi parts) one of my husband & boys' favorite movies. Unfortunately it will be most likely too hot for costumes as they'd prefer, so I have been making t-shirts. Here is the one I made for my husband. I made it using the silhouette heat transfer paper which I have never done before, it took some learning for sure. Sorry about the icky pic, it's storming here, but I wanted to be sure I got it in on time.

Battle: Pirates vs Ninja's (NINJA WINS!)
Team/Ninja: Team Fantasy
Project Name: Train Doodles
Brief Description:
Oh, I'm nearly embarassed to be turning this project in, but these are some doodles I drew on the train last week to distract myself and to keep myself from crying (this was the day before my granny's funeral). I wanted to expand it into several scenes, but an acquaintance happened to show up in my train carriage and we talked the rest of the trip. I liked the battle idea and wanted to work on that theme. I think it's pretty obvious my ninja would win, as the pirate can't even tell his opponent is present!

haha I agree...a peg-legged one eyed pirate is going to have a tough time winning!

Love the little Jon Snow with Ghost...

The pirate shirt looks so professional...very crisp and clean lines!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Fandom
Team/Ninja:  Commercial Free All-Stars
Project Geekdom (if any): Fantasy
Bonus Points: Discovery, Nerdy
Project Name:  Fantastical nature shrine
Project Link:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424144.0#axzz2UthU0t5C
Brief Description: I was partnered with woobie for the current Shrine Swap.  Two of her themes were nature and fantasy.  I wanted to combine them into something awesome and decided to make the base in the shape of a tree (mostly because I really love trees, but then I found out her house is surrounded by giant trees, so I knew that was it!).  This was my first time using paper clay, and my first time hand painting a sculpted project.  I used a small candy box and pipe cleaners as the base and painted it in layers using acrylics.  I wanted something different than traditional tree fare, so I twisted a bunch of different cords, ribbon, and twine together to make a thick yarn-y rope that could drape across the branches.  Everything else is just whimsy from my stash or prior swaps.  Since this is a WIP challenge I suppose I should mention that I started this on May 2nd and finished it for good in the 27th.  Surely not my longest or most neglected WIP, but still a good one!  There are many more details in the link above, if youre interested. Project Geekdom (if any): Frida, art, shrines
Bonus Points: Discovery, Nerdy
Project Name: Frida Kahlo Shrine
Project Link:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=424145.0#axzz2UthU0t5C
Brief Description:  This was the other shrine I made for woobie in the current Shrine Swap, and the first shrine I ever actually completed (that tree took weeks, this one only took a couple days Cheesy)!  For this project I was all about the prime numbers.  Inspired by the two butterflies in her hair, I decided to do many of the embellishments in twos: wings, gems, butterflies, etc.  For the three hanging elements I strung two each of five different colored bells onto pearl cord, used two colors of beads, and three paper flowers.  There are lots of other examples of prime numbers in there, too, like five embellishment items down each side of the frame and three across, but thats probably reading too much into it.  Grin
