Challenge/Battle/Alert: May Fandom
Team/Ninja: Team Fantasy
Project Geekdom (if any): Fantasy
Bonus Points: Super nerdy, discovery (sewing)
Project Name: Hot Pie Apron
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: I cut out the pieces of this Apron last year, and had yet to sew it.  I had never learned to sew so what was really tripping me up was trying to use an old sewing machine.  I finally bought a new sewing machine complete with instruction manual!  I decided to finish this project and by the time I went back to the online tutorial to see how to put it together, it was gone!  So I put it together on my own and prayed that when I turned it right side out it would resemble an apron in some way.  I am pleased with the result for my first real sewing project!  One of my favorite random characters in the game of thrones is Hot Pie.  He kind of fails at everything, except he is amazing at cooking.  This morning I gifted my daughter with her very own Hot Pie apron, so she can get to work making her own bowl of brown:

The plant hanger was a super quick project, La Chapa! This is the link Smiley http://knitpurlhooked.blogspot.com/2012/03/fo-friday-13.html

I think it was for a 4 inch pot. Its a little snug. But that might be because I  put the water catching dish in there, too. *shrugs*

Krafty--what a cool needlework piece for the challenge! I am going to have to check out making my own patterns using the computer...

thank you!

making patterns with paint can be a little time-consuming, but it's the best thing in the world for me.  as I said in the separate post for it, that's how I made every pattern for every cross stitch project I've done, and most of my square stitch patterns for bead weaving.

krafty_Karasu - Awesome! That looks like it took a while. Great job!

thanks!

yeah, it did take me a while, which is why I won't have another entry (we need a yellow challenge now because I have another project I want to cross stitch and the primary color is yellow!!!)  I did forget to mention that it's in a 5x7 frame on 22 count Aida.  22 count is a PAIN to work with!  and I just found out last night it even comes in 28 and 32 count!!!  X_X  I'll never work THAT small.

Wow, wow, wow! You folks have all been so productive! I've been stalking the thread between classes, but now I can finally add another project - yay! ^_^

Battle: Pirates vs. Ninjas!
Team: Nerdy Ladies
Project Geekdom: TV
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Ninja Time
Brief Description: I decided to cast my vote for Ninjas - they're stealthy, highly skilled, and generally awesome! ^_^ I've also been watching a lot of Adventure Time recently, and decided to create an embroidery hoop inspired by the illustation style used in both Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors. I also made my ninja a girl too (as a kinda tribute to my team's declared geekdom, although she's not any particular character), although you can't really tell since she's wearing a body suit ~_^

I made the title by referencing the Adventure Time logo, and I also changed the sword used in the original to a katana. Which is a bit more ninja-ry I think ^_^

This picture is to show her little shuriken a little better. They were so tiny that I gave up trying to cut them out of felt like everything else and instead just used metallic embroidery thread. They're definitely not perfect, but I think they are recognisable still. ^_^

Anyway, I hope you like her!

@roke45 - I love the papercraft you did of Uhura! Go team! ~_^

@noodle-bug - Your Doctor Who patches are fantastic! I can't wait to see more of them ^_^

@speakgeekandenter - I want a River Song diary necklace too now! Such a clever idea!

@Bobbysgirl - Zombies are my fave! Your bracelets are so awesome!!

@smileyyogini - You must have amazing crochet skillz! Your Kaylee doll is adorable, and her dress is perfect!

@ludi - I love how you made the skull and cross-bones on your pirate chest 3D, and the white blackbird embroidery is beautiful ^_^

@silentblair - Your Captain Jack rocks!

@antbee - I love your brown coat patch! Makes me want to practice knitting more! ^_^

Whoa! Super nerdy projects galore! They all look awesome!

Took some time to get a craft of my own finished:
Battle: May's Ninjas vs. Pirates
Team/Ninja: Team-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named
Project Geekdom (if any): Harry Potter
Bonus Points: Nerdyverse and declared Geekdom
Project Name: Devious Draco
Brief Description: Draco's a sneaky little devil, isn't he? Most of the time he's pretty obvious about it, yet he continues to act like a (bad) ninja.

And wearing his Death Eater mask:
