That huck weaving is amazing! I've never heard of it, but it looks like a pretty cool technique.  And, that "I love you" sound wave is fantastic. Totally stealing that idea for someday...

Love the I love you!
If you upload the photos to Craftster, there is a rotate photo option. You might try that. What an odd thing to happen! Annoying too, I'll bet.

It's really very easy and relaxing, just time-consuming!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: August Battle - Star Wars!
Team/Ninja: Monsters
Project Geekdom (if any): Star Wars
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Two Star Wars Baby Onsies
Brief Description: I saw similar onsies on etsy and knew my baby needed these!  I love them because they are nerdy, but also girly at the same time!  It seems hard to get nerdy stuff for baby girls without it being boy looking.  Well, these were super easy to make and I might have to make up some matching bows to go with.  ^_^  I make, I took a square of the fabric and put on heat n bond then cut out circles of the fabric.  Then you iron those on to your onsie, add some embroidery floss lines, and attach a bow.  Boom!  And I chose these for the battle, because even though I made a Star Trek one (you will see that in a moment), I'm much more of Star Wars fan.  ^_^

Project Name: Curly Ribbon Hair Clips
Brief Description: These hair clips are definitely reminiscent of a screw, and thus is why I chose them for this challenge.  Most people call them "korker" ribbons because they look like little pig tails, but I like the word curly instead.  ^_^ I've been working on a whole bunch of these for all the new babies in my lives.  My newest niece was born at the end of April, my cousin had her baby a couple weeks ago, and mine will be here in a few short weeks!  So for the past month I've been working on these hair clips.  I got quite a few done!  But, I'm ready to move onto some new hair accessory projects.  I make them in pairs so that they can be worn next to pig tails someday.  Each is on a little metal alligator type clip that is covered in fabric.

Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Star Trek Onsie
Project Page Link (if available): None
Brief Description: Another nerdy onsie!  Yay!  This one is Star Trek!  And it fits in this challenge because I had pinned the inspiration for these onsies from Etsy!  So, if you are interested in buying one, the etsy shop can be found here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/103611386/may-the-force-be-with-you-star-wars?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_includes

Project Geekdom (if any): Superman!
Bonus Points: Nerdy
Project Name: Superman Onsie!
Project Page Link (if available): None
Brief Description: Last one of these onsies, I promise!  lol!  Here is a Superman one, because I found the fabric in the remnant bin and so I had to have it.  Though I kinda want to make one of these type onsies for like every fandom of fabric I kind find!  ^_^

Challenge/Battle/Alert: June Randomizer - Zombies ate my brains!
Team/Ninja: Fantasy
Project Geekdom (if any): none
Bonus Points: none
Project Name: braided pouch strap
Brief Description:
A while ago I've crocheted a pouch to hold my (kind of large) cellphone. I've been using it unfinished, just carrying the pouch in my hand, while trying to figure out what sort of strap would work best. After a failed attemp at some sort of finger braiding/weaving that I've done in the past (strings were too long to work right for this), I decided to try a kumihimo braid. I think I've done them once before, but abandoned the braid after a few inches. So, off to the kitchen to find an empty cereal box, a small bowl to draw a circle, a pair of scissors and I had a disc ready. Found a nice easy pattern and instructions on http://friendship-bracelets.net/, and after two or three repetitions, had my "mindless" project going. This really is super easy, just three steps, over and over again. I just carried the project with me everywhere. A week later, and I have a long long (almost 2 meters) strap for my pouch, yay!
Project Picture:

and one still on the disc (with silly knots in the middle because I ran out of string way before it was long enough):

Thanks all!  I am finally taking a few minutes here and there to post all of the crafts I have been making this summer.  Cheesy

Challenge/Battle/Alert: August Fandom
Team/Ninja: Fantasy
Project Geekdom (if any): Fantasy
Bonus Points: super nerdy
Project Name: Weirwood pendant

Project Description:  I had seen this weirwood pendant based on the trees in the Godswood in the A Song of Ice and Fire series.  http://www.deviantart.com/art/Weirwood-s-Visage-327085119   I really liked it and tried to make a similar one for myself.  I am still learning how to work with polymer clay, so it is not perfect, but I like the spookiness of it.  The white clay glows in the dark for extra fun!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: July Multimedia
Team/Ninja: Fantasy
Project Geekdom (if any): Fantasy
Bonus Points: super nerdy
Project Name: A Game of Thrones word magnets

Project Description:  I seem to be compensating for the lack of new episodes of GoT and new books by crafting Smiley  I printed several sheets of magnet paper with words from the show and books, making sure all of my favorite quotes and character names were in there.  I gave this as a "gift" to my husband (meaning, I am the one mostly playing with it, but it is the thought that counts!)  I put a picture of his fav character with his favorite quote on the tin.  Obviously, the magnets need to be used together, fitting the prompt Cheesy
