Brief Description: I was working on this a little prior to declaring my current research project, so I thought it would make a great Anniversary Challenge entry.  I made up all of the clothing items as I went along, so she is serving as the tester/prototype for my research dollies.  There is more information in the link above, if youre curious!

ETA: Another project. Oops!

Challenge/Battle/Alert: July Multimedia
Team/Ninja: Fantasy

Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=426364.0
Brief Description, Project Picture: A friend of mine had me and some others over for tea so I made these to take along.

English muffins and tea just go together!

I covered a tea box and drew the logo inspired by a design I saw on pinterest. I'm not sure where it came from originally.

Thanks, Calabaza, but I'm really kind of embarrassed by this one.  I almost didn't want to post it except I wanted to show my fail using a new material.  Tongue  At least he's colorful!  Cheesy

Challenge/Battle/Alert: Anniversary Challenge
Team/Ninja: Team Fantasy
Project Geekdom (if any): /
Bonus Points: Discovery
Project Name: Camera-cover on DPN's
Project Page Link: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=426375.new#new
Brief Description:
One of many things craftster means to me is being stimulated to try out new techniques, to push the boundaries of my skills and better them. So when I decided I wanted a different cover for my point&shoot camera (the one I have is really pretty, with owls, but you can't stuff it in your pockets when using the camera) I decided I would try knitting in the round on my double pointed needles, rather than just use them as shorter regular needles. I'd been really intimidated by this, knitting with four needles sounded mental, but it turned out to be barely harder than knitting on two needles! Big advantage of not having an ugly seam down the sides too. The picture looks rather flat because I have only the one camera and when it's in the cover, I can't use it to take a picture of the cover in use Tongue This project really built up my confidence, I'll just need to learn how to increase and decrease stitches and I could try my hand at knitting socks!

Bakeneko - what a super cute idea for magnets!  And I love those shrinky dink earrings!

Ludi - are you sick of hearing how amazing you are yet?  Tongue  Balok is so creepy!  I think he turned out awesome!

Ant Bee - that is going to be an epic afghan!

Calabaza - your pumpkin pillow is so cute!  And, um, YUM!  I was actually eating and English muffin and tea when I first saw your post.  Cheesy  Yours look much more tasty.   Wink

Naantje - awesome job on your cover!  I haven't tried knitting in the round yet...it does seem intimidating!  Your post has given me a little hope that maybe I can do it, though.  Grin

Thanks, Ludi and Calabaza!

Cute doll, LM! And what a wardrobe she's got!

I can't help stopping into the fabric store to paw through remnants on a regular basis...cheap and little, perfect for doll clothes!  And the green fabric was on clearance for $1/yd.  How could I resist getting enough to outfit an entire doll army in sparkly ballgowns?  Cheesy

Ludi, I doubt you could have a fail in embroidery...I love how you captured his spookiness, definitely your geekdom personafiled!

I am loving all the anniversary challenge entries!  I think they are so personal and some have made me get all teary-eyed!

lovelymiss--go team!  I love your dolls and clothes...ha ha I bought a doll clothes pattern to use up all those small fabrics that I thought would be cute for doll clothes...

love the pumpkin pillow and those English muffins are just incredibly luscious-looking...mmmm

Brief Description: I am trying to use up my stash of cotton yarns.  Ii recently received a lovely crochet book from a friend who she is trying to encourage me to try more motifs and flowers. I have tried in the past but never got good results following a pattern and most of those motifs are sitting in a box.  The lightbulb finally went off when I made something more practical for me.  Not sure if I want to pursue this type of crochet, but I think I might make a few sets for gifts to others.
Since the book had a towel holder and a potholder, I figured they went together and qualify for this prompt. Not perfect, but still acceptable...Grin

Oh, do I know about the intimidation! Only too well! But really, don't be scared off, I don't find it much harder than regular knitting, I was surprised that it was relatively easy actually Smiley
