This little dear was made in my first swap ever in the The Poppet Mini Swap Round 5
My partner Sharalee had a lovely list of things and the 50's poodleskirt girl jumped out as something fun to do! So here she is!
Her entire outfit, her poodle skirt, a tulle pettiskirt, her little saddle shoes, her adorable little teddybear to go with (nope didnt make him though, wish I had!) her aqua pearl necklace (which is fully removeable like her cloths) and ofc her black and white lace bra and panties! Enjoy!!! (Dont mind the random little fingers and hand's, my darling 2yr baby girl wanted to help =D )
A full frontfacing pic with everything on, her poodle was hand sketched on with a sharpie fabric pen, and entirely my design =D
A better look at the waistband and skirt, all of which I made by guessing out my own patterns
A little pic with her tulle pettiskirt, I cheated to make thing one, I used a heavy quilt binding as the "circle skirt" attached the elastic in where the binding seperated to attach to the quilt, and put bias tape ontop of the elastic to make a nice black waist band to match the poodle skirt. The tulle was fun to work with, and I ended up trimming it down a bit to fit length wise.
Her wee teeny tiny saddle shoes, which I made using the boot tutorial here on craftster but I left off the boot sides and cut off the tongue, and placed eyelets up the sides and laced with leather strips. Colored the white felt with a black Sharpie Staind' fabric pen to try and get the authentic saddle shoe appearance.
The straps on her bra and panties are made with double fold bias tape which was stitched closed, and the stretch lace sewn ontop. Both items are also removeable using sew-on-snaps, so her entire outfit is entirely changeable if Sharalee so wishes =^.^= also makes her easy to wash that way too!
And to end it all off, a nice side shot without her tulle pettiskirt on, plus you can see her little painted fingernails =D Her face has eyelids (which I sort of used the eyelid tute but changed it a bit as I just couldnt figure it out hahah) and real eyelashes (I'm really loving the girl that recomended E6000...now if only I could remember her name!) her makeup is a mix between Sharpie Staind' fabric pen's and my mineral eyeshadow's. Her eyeliner and eyebrows are both fabric staind' pens. Her hair was made with Peaches n Cream yarn with a crocheted cap and wefted hair sewn on (was a pain but it sure looks good!!)
She was my first "boobie" poppet ever, and I think she came out great =D first time with the use of alova suede too! =D Hope you like her!!
