So, I've only done some embroidery work a handful of times, but in the past I've been asked to sell some of my crafts.

I was wondering, when embroidering with a hoop, do people customarily sell with or without the hoop? XD


By the way, I'm not sure of this question goes here or some other part of Craftster. My apologies if it goes somewhere else

It all depends. If you are selling your embroidery as a hoopla then you can put it in a wooden hoop for that. You could also make it into a little wall hanging or frame it. I have not really sold much, but my great aunt had me turn a couple of embroideries she had into like mug rugs or little wall hangings.
