Harry Potter inspired Snape's Potion Cabinet

This project was made for chughes225 in the invite your partner swap http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=419473.msg4993162#msg4993162  Its a Snapes potion cabinet from Harry Potter in miniature form.
I found this wood piece at the second hand store and knew it needed to be for potions.  It actually had legs, but they were so unstable that it wiggled terribly.  It was obvious it would never stand straight.  I tried a few different wood bases to glue on, but in the end left everything off and just called it good.  It got a fresh coat of black paint, but I liked the worn look of the original so I sanded it down similarly.

Then it got filled with lots of tiny bottles of stuff I had aroundlavendar berries, dried calendula flowers, etc.  The labels were tinsy! I made little books with olden covers, even used the potions book from the movie.  The candles, pot, cup, and spider are all polymer clay.  Theres some hand written and rolled scrolls in there, and where I saw fit I put rocks and crystals.  Just fun stuff!

For size reference

Glad she liked it, and hope it was able to find a nice place for home.  I sure enjoyed making it.
Thanks for looking!

This is awesome! You did such a great job and I think it looks great without legs.

I just freaked out slightly because I thought that was a DIME in the photo, and I was trying to figure out how you could possibly have made everything so freakin' TINY! Then I realized it was actually a quarter, so it's only miniature, not microscopic. Cheesy I love the distressing on the cabinet itself - looks totally natural.
