dunno how good you girls are with a drill/dremel, but you could make a doll stand if you have a dowel rod (thick enough to A hold the weight of the doll and B wotn split if you put a screw through the bottom of it) and one of those paintable wooden squares/circles (like for kiddie projects to paint pictures n stuff on) ....screw the dowel rod to the wooden plaque (screw through the bottom of the plaque into the bottom of the dowelrod) and at the top, drill a hole big enough to put yarn through (you can pull the yarn through like a pully and use that to hold the doll)

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrr, you can repeat all steps above but leave off the yarn, take some craft wire, and twist it together and stick it through the hold, seal with wood glue inside the hole and shape the craft wire into a shape similiar to the normal doll stands you can buy =D (just came up with these ideas outa nowhere, havent tested em so entirely up to you girls....but I can draw a picture if you want incase my early morning ramblings is confusing!)

That's more or less how I made the on for my sisters doll but I just wrapped the wire around her waist to hold her in place & hubby cut me a piece of mdf for the base I used a wooden knitting needle as the upright and glued it into a hole in the base. I didn't have a dremel type tool until yesterday when my hubbys friend gave me his  Grin I haven't tried it out yet though.

I just use a dremel for everything cause I'm precision oriented and a drill just isnt precision enough for me XD but you can use a regular drill for it too...or if your really determined, a knife to bore out the hole on the dowel at the top for the wire, and force a screw through the bottom into the dowel with a screwdriver (ive done that before too haha)

HI GUYS. HOW ABOUT PIPE CLEANERS MAYBE 2-3 OF THEM  TWISTED TOGETHER THEM DRILL A HOLE WHERE YOU WANT IT & PULL THE TWISTED PIPE CLEANER THROUGH THEN PUT A LITTLE GLUE ON EACH SIDE OF THE HOLE.  YOU COULD COVER IT WITH A COTH SLEEVE. ANYWAY JUST A IDEA!!
