Yesterday, while waiting for my head to stop throbbing from my stupid root canal  Angry, I decided to finally try this knit doll dress I have admired for a while on Ravelry. I wasn't sure if my knitting skills were up to the task, but I was going to be sitting on the sofa all day anyway, so I thought I would give it a try.  It came out GREAT!

The lacey skirt part was actually easy once I got going on it, but the fancy bottom edge was super tricky, and took me many, many tries to get it right--but once it "clicked" for me, it was easy too! I love the bell shape of the skirt.  (As you can see from the two pictures, I tried a couple of different flower details.) The dress is knit on two needles, so it has a seam halfway up the back and closes with a snap at the back neckline.

If I can do this, any advanced beginner knitter can!  You can find the pattern HERE.

You can do anything Leslie!

Lovely little dress. I like the pink/purple flower best if you ask me.
And the dress looks so complicated. Turned out great, great job!!  Cheesy

I didn't even notice the little flower the first time- it adds the perfect touch! Everything you touch turns to cuteness!

With all your skill and crazy talent, you should open an Etsy shop. You'd make a killing with all the cool stuff you know how to make.
