With enough caffiene, I could rule the world.

When I was little, my absolute favorite toy was my spirograph. I remember sitting for hours at the table experimenting with different wheel and ring combinations. And ink colors. My Dad bought me one of those 16 color pens. I used every drop of ink in it with my spirograph.

I saw this great bag while I was stumbling around on flickr, and decided to make my own version. White bags and I do not get along. They usually end up gray, so I decided to start with a gray bag.

A close up bit of some of the embroidery. (Yeah, not my best stitching, but the overall effect is just fine.)

The finished bag.

I couldn't get very good shots. The lighting was bad and my camera batteries were dying.

Cute!  Did you spirograph and then trace it with your stitches?

Thanks!

I spirographed onto paper. Then I enlarged the designs a bit on my scanner/printer/copier thingy, and transfered them to the bag to stitch. Doing the designs without enlarging them would have taken forever...

This is fantastic!  What delicate stitching.

As a kid I had a 16 colour pen and spirograph too!  Cheesy

This is awesome! I like how you started with grey right from the get-go.
When I was a kid, I used my Mom's 1930s version of Spirograph, called Hoot N Nanny.
