So I just finished this awesome twin sized blanket its a big labor of love done for my oldest nieces Graduation Smiley
Here is the pattern using size 29-32 inch circular needles cast on 400 stitches k1p1 next row dont join instead turn the project and continue to k1 p1 keep following pattern making sure all the knitting and purling is lining up do color changes on the cast on side, When done weave in any side colors tail cast off using k1 p1 -note one row took me about 45 minuets and it takes 6 rows to equal 1 inch , when done mine was 6 1/2 long by 5- 5 1/2 inches wide .
It took about 6 months to complete this you can do it in any color I did all blue hues
you can try to make the stripes around the same rows or you can do like I did and mix it , I used some new skeins (one new skein would do about 25 rows) and I used balled yarn that I got at a yard sale and didnt know how much it had use worst weight or medium weight yarn .
when washing use the delicate cycle I use regular laundry soap about 1/2 cup you can also use dish soap- lukewarm water then drying go to low heat dry for 10 minuets and turn to no heat complete the dry taking about 40-50 minuets. Picture one is the close up of the stitches
Picture two is of the blanket when I was done
