I was wondering how you managed to get the pink feathers and orange beak so perfectly registered! I'm glad that you said you painted that part of the flamingo, because otherwise, I'd never attempt this if I had to match it all up. nicely done!

i was thinking about how to do this to get it perfectly registered and if I were doing a bigger piece, or one where it needed to be perfectly painted..I would have to figure that out, I guess by leaving one square corner on the block and measuring it out..but the nature of this image meant that a 'rough' painting of the body of the flamingo looks better than if it were solid and flat....plus I am not the most patient person in the world an I was having too much fun to break out the ruler!

I have one of those "stamp positioner" things, and I'm wondering if that could help with the registration. But, I agree, sometimes, a paintbrush is better!

And, I love how you used the fabrics to make a bag. Well done!

thanks guys..my bag got it's first airing yesterday...a flamingo tee-shirt next I think..maybe just the outline on a pink tee

Flamingos always make me smile too! The bag turned out really cute!!! I had a flamingo tote I bought from the store ages ago that wasn't nearly as cute as this!! And your lino stamps are amazing!
