*update! adding more pics daily with progress!!*

So I didn't really like these dolls, until I found out they where so highly respected in the doll community. I checked out a few at eBay & my local stores, I fell in love!! The articulation and customization blew me away! I bought 3 dolls to keep original (Ghouls Alive Frankie is sooo cool! And Skelita, and the Ghoulia with her scooter!) I am currently trying to customize two 'create-a-monster dolls, and tons of random heads and limbs, tho I am having trouble with the faces.. I tried sealers, pastels, acrylics, water color pencils, ect, but nothing seems to work right for me. any suggestions?!? I'm still doing tons of research. I can't wait to make some wigs, and eventually re-root hair! This will be a huge project for me but I am very excited! So while I'm waiting for the right faces, I'm working on a few clothing items.. I hope you enjoy them, these are all hand sewn.
sorry these pics are so small. for skelita I made this Spanish  red rose "dress", it is actually separates, a top, skirt and shoulder ruffle that can be worn on 1 shoulder/both, or not at all. Black felt hat has a tiny mesh veil with tiny fabric flowers, hand made.

the Spanish skull hair comb from polymer, and the veil is lace, the skirt is fabric marker on velvet baroque fabric, felt handbag, and beaded bracelets, the top and shoes are monster high.

I want to make this girl a Japanese Lolita girl! I made the beanie, skirts, petticoat, backpack, ruffle blouse and beaded bracelets, and painted her nails.

yarn wigs, hair fancies, polymer clay charms, collars, ect!

And some random skirts, Victorian skirt can be synched, hats with snaps underneath, purses, bows, ribbons, beanies & Lolita accessories :

I also have a purple fishy girl with fins that my boyfriend wants me to turn into a WaveDancer from Elf quest! Can't wait to start on her!

kanekalon hair wig, beaded crowns, shell embellishments, can't wait to make clothes for her!

I made a tiny replica of the backpack I got @ SoulFlower.com

Wow, you've done a phenomenal job. I made my first MH outfit not so long ago so I know how small these things are and I'm amazed at your creations. Great job! Smiley

I'm so in love with everything you've made! The outfits are adorable, and the backpacks, both the one you made based of the one you have and the bunny one, are just amazing!

Do you mind if I ask how you curled the yarn wig?

thank you! I made the wigs, then figured I wanted them to curl, so I looked online, and read that I have to wrap the yarn a round a dowl, wet it, then bake it till it dries, I didnt know if that would work, and ruin the "scalp" thats under the wigs, but it did work! I used something like these:

http://almostunschoolers.blogspot.com/2009/11/how-to-curl-yarn-for-doll-hair.html
for the mermaid i used kanekalon hair and a few pieces of dark purple curled yarn for "highlights"

Thanks for letting me know. I've been making yarn wigs for Pullips, but I hadn't looked into curing yarn before. I also shared the link to your post and pictures with some MH fans over at Dolly Market, and they also loved your stuff. Thanks so much for sharing it all!
