I don't usually do a lot of jewelry, but Spellbinders has started a new line called Media Mixáge, and sent me some great products to work with. I'm pretty stoked about this pendant I made!

I used these great metal bezels from Spellbinders, along with special dies that cut paper to fit perfectly inside.

First I cut a circle out of some scrapbook paper, and put a tiny bit of gold glitter around the edge. I glued it into the bezel, and then cut a smaller circle out to highlight the bee image. I attached this layer with a foam glue dot so it would add dimension to the art.

I poured some ICE Resin into the bezel and let it sit for 24 hours. This was my first time using resin, but if I'd known how easy it was, I would have started long ago! Once the resin was good and hard, I added the bee charm at the bottom and put the pendant on a chain. That's all there was to it! Wheee! I can make jewelry!

I loooooove this!

The paper doesn't go all wonky* when you put the resin in?

*translation:  the moisture from the resin doesn't cause the paper to warp or anything?

I love everything you made!  I actually mixed resin for the first time yesterday, too.   Cheesy  I love that they sent you a resin dispenser that doesn't require mixing.

I knew what you meant. Cheesy

I didn't have any problems with the paper going wonky, even in the largest bezel. I did glue it to the back of the bezel fairly well. On this one, where you think you might have wonkiness issues, the little bee image is so small that most of it is supported by the foam glue circle I used, and I used G45 paper, which is nice and heavy.

Honestly, I didn't even think I might have trouble with that...in retrospect, I guess I was lucky! Cheesy

Queen Bee indeed!  Isn't resin fun, fun, fun!  Do you know what other kind of bezel shapes are available?  I have a feeling I'll have to go searching for some soon..... Cheesy

I know what aroze means too, sometimes with thinner paper the resin will absorb into some areas and leave a weird dark patch.  I usually seal my paper with gel medium or mod podge first but I bet the heavy paper you used helped avoid that.
