I got a Derwent pencil a while ago and had used it in doodles but never in an actual picture, and I have to say, I rather liked it. My step mum who got the picture for Christmas really enjoyed it too Smiley I think this will be the first of many to come.

An in progress picture:

Added a touch of colour to the eyes to give the picture a little umph:

The final product before colour:

Oh my gosh. How totally wonderfully spooky. The owl is speaking to me. What a wonderful drawing. Yup. Had to go back to see it again. He said, "Thank you, for adding my face with the highlights, I can see in the night!" He also thanked you for his second eye.  Grin Just playing. I am a clown.

I love how you did the work in progress, so other craftsters can see how things evolve into wonderful creations. I wish I had these skills. I can pattern, cut, and paste, and sew. But this style of drawing that is randomish, and free. Nope. Mine is measured. I am so much trying to free up my art. You nailed this whoooo, whooo, whooo. He looks special. Very interesting. I wish I had your skills.
