So a few days ago I decided to make some bagels since I had severe cravings for them and they're not that easy to come by around here... The process was kinda fun, actually. Since you're supposed to boil the bagels before you bake them in the oven. I topped mine with poppy, sunflower and sesame seeds, YUM! Oh, and mine are absolutely huuuuge! I made a double batch but forgot to double the number of bagels it would make, hence, they are twice as big as in the recipe. They make a great lunch though Smiley

The finished product (with cream cheese, spinach and tomato):

If anybody wants the recipe I used I can fix it, otherwise google is nice Wink

oh yum!   brings back happy memories for me Smiley  I remember when I was single, working for myself and had a tiny apartment with a little kitchen,I loved bagels but I was pretty cheap (well...moneyless Grin) so paying 6 bucks for a bag of them with all the preservatives went against my nature so I would make them. They're sooooo much better than store bought!!! and fun to make!

These look so yummy!!!  Inspires me to make them again.

Yum. I've made my own bagels before. Sometimes I forget to sprinkle on the toppings until it is too late. That's okay they are still delicious, especially when used for sandwiches (I like to use jarred pickled eggplant and tomato with lettuce). They are sooo much better than the storebought kind!
