Can I have some fishy crackers?

I have had a major girl crush on Poison Ivy since I first read about her. I don't really know why I like her so much..but...being the ridiculous comic book nerd that I am...I'm cool with it Cheesy So my husband surprised me with tickets to Boston Comic Con this weekend and I almost cried I was so excited...I've always wanted to go to a convention! Since we were crunched for time, and I was in charge of making both of our costumes, I picked Ivy because hers is very straightforward, and spent about 3 days sewing leaves like mad onto the body suit I made. I also dyed my tights because I couldn't find any in the color I wanted. I'll upload more pictures after the con, but I snapped a few really quick because I couldn't wait to share! Cheesy

Weird shot, I know, but I ended up making the bodysuit in two pieces, a top and a bottom, because I didn't relish the idea of wriggling out of the whole thing every time I had to use the restroom lol!

Communing with nature Smiley

I also made my husband's Robin costume. He wanted a toned down, not super floofy costume, so we kinda went for the steampunk vibe.

Due to the horrific and unbelievably devastating events that took place this week in Boston, the Con may end up being called off, but I wanted to show you guys my progress! Thanks for looking!

Super awesome! Love the hair too. What did you use to color the tights?

You look great! As an avid bodysuit wearer, I like your separates, and the leaves totally disguise the pieces. Have a good time!

Well Done! The idea of doing separates was ingenious.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Thank you everyone!! They did end up canceling it...but there will be others!

I'm actually wearing two pair of tights, lol! I dyed them with koolaid and food coloring...it was so easy!

That's really nice!  It's totally ingenious the way you made it two pieces.  I didn't even notice until you pointed it out!

It's disappointing they had to cancel, but you'll be ready for next time!

Great costume, I'm sorry you didn't get to show it off at the convention.
