I am thinking that October's theme might be Halloweenish and if so I know what I am planning on doing!

You would be almost correct. Add Fall into it and, I'm not saying you are correct, but you might be...like 99.9999999% correct.

I got started on my hoop in the past few days! Not too complicated, but it's gonna require a ton of satin stitch to fill in all of the coloring.

Whatever happened to the ongoing hoopla swaps?

I know I have been MIA form this thread since saying I wanted to join, but since I acquired a new job I felt the need to spend more time stitching and less time chatting. Smiley Finally started on this month hoop yesterday so here's my limited progress pic. I am hoping with a little bit of time every night this week (hubby is working extra) I will get it done before the month ends!

What type of floss are you using?  It looks quite shiny!  Looking good so far!

I hope my pincushion that I embroidered arrives at my partner's house today...it is ROUND... Grin

The floss is just normal DMC. It might look shiny because I trace my patterns onto cling wrap and then stitch through it, tearing it off when done. I managed to finish all the spirals last night and work was kind enough to give me extra time of this week (note lots of sarcasm as reduced hours mean reduced paycheck  Sad ) so I should have no problem finishing it and my wooden hoops should arrive today!

Hope your partner receives soon too, the worst part about swaps is the waiting!

I never heard of that!!  What a fantastic way to get a pattern traced...is it hard to remove the cling wrap with all that stitching?
