Newbie to the boards here...and somewhat to cross stitch. I haven't tried embroidery though. But I have bought a few of the Sublime Stitch patterns last week during her 50% off sale.

I'm looking forward to posting my finished project. It's not really a hoop though. I had it framed at Hobby Lobby for a friend. But it could have been a hoop. Is that okay?

Thanks Kittykill. I've been impressed with the work I've seen on here.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Yep, I'm familiar with those organizational skills, kittykill.  Cheesy

Going to go catch up on all of the excitement that's been going on over here, try to figure out this month's hoop, and rest my dumb neck! Welcome Lolarennt!

I see no problem with my organizational skills. I can find my floss just fine.

Sorry, I know I am not a member (yet) of this craftalong but I saw this pic in recent with pics and HAD to comment and say ABSOLUTELY! My husband is the house proud one in our house but does not understand how working in a CLEAN work space is such a hindrance, I have to craft at dining room table, and I have to admit he has been very good lately, but you can still see him twitching when he has to walk past, just desperate to put it all in a box and hide it never to be seen again!

Organisation? Neatness? That means you do not know where anything is and the creative juices run out! He's a man for crying out loud he SHOULD understand!!!

(Lol I love him really!)

Wow I have just read this thread from start to end there are some amazing hoops, my favourites include the mermaid, the 10 year anniversary and the ten stitches. The hope one really touched me having dealt with my now Husband (as of end of June this year...more later) having cancer and treatment twice in the 7 years we have been together and having lost a dear friend to a brain tumour and knowing another friend whose husband is dealing with his as we talk. Also the first person I ever lost that I was really close to (she was my form tutor and we had a close relationship, she did so much for me and even now 15 years later I still miss her!) Died from a brain tumour, so yes it touched me deeply and is my very favourite, I hope you are still holding onto that hope and things are looking a bit better.
That is not to say I don't love all the other hoops - I am really impressed by every single one of them, but I am sure you don't need a list of all that have been posted

For the last few days I have been concocting a plan in my head to make an embroidery for my husband's Christmas present (well one of). During our honeymoon we went to see Wicked in the West End and both fell in love with it. There are so many quotes in it that make me think of us,  but one in particular that stands out as when we are in the car together singing along to the CD we duet the lines automatically. It is sickly sweet out of context but if anyone has seen the show it'll make more sense! Anyhow I am going to stitch it up and try to get it finished by the end of the month.

What I wondered though is as I live in England am I still allowed to join in but just not have my name put into the prize hat?

Thanks so much for the kind words about my Hope hoop.  Brain cancer is a TERRIBLE thing and I wouldn't wish it or having to deal with it on my worst enemy.

I still haven't touched my September hoop!  Somehow this month got away from me.  My mom had another setback, I had to finish up two swap packages to mail out, and now I am getting ready for our trip to Disney next week.  So I think I shall leave it and maybe it will fit into a future theme.

I am thinking that October's theme might be Halloweenish and if so I know what I am planning on doing!
