Ok, it's time to say goodbye to my shrine. I hope it meets the goal of a shrine, and that it also meets the definition of _______, which I've never attempted before. I will be packing and sending today or tomorrow. Hope MissSadieMae is happy with it, that's all that matters now!  Smiley

I'm still finding myself slightly frustrated with my main shrine.  I feel like I haven't made any progress lately, and I admit I'm also feeling a bit uninspired with it.  It seems perfectly nice, but somehow seems to lack "soul", as it were.  So yesterday, in an effort to get my crafty mojo back, I pushed that one to the back of my craft table, and created a whole new one just for fun.  It is simple and sweet and most importantly, DONE!  After completing it, I was on a bit of a roll and got some more done on the main shrine, and pulled together supplies for another one that I've been toying with the idea of.  May or may not get around to doing this new one, but at least I feel back on track.  Cheesy

Jennie - I know exactly what you've been going through. My main shrine has been sitting unfinished for weeks, and I only got back to working on it by trying to focus on another swap. Of course the shrine immediately demanded to be finished!

I think I'll be able to send at the end of the day tomorrow, but I have to do a bit of shopping for that one elusive item first. I have a day of work, fortunately.

I was thinking I might PM with a picture of my main shrine, and ask your opinion on it tomorrow.  I think you might be able to help me find it's soul.  Smiley

I will be shipping today.  I used quite a bit of bubble wrap on mine.  There are a few elements I am afraid of coming off but I think if they do it will be easily fixable by my partner and a bit of glue.

Remember folks, bubble-pack is your friend! And I find with things like this that have small, glued-on components, it's often useful to gently pack a bit of foam rubber or tissue paper into open spaces, so the heavier parts are supported and can't wobble about in transit. It's always movement that causes the damage, so sometimes just immobilizing the object in the middle of a box will keep it perfectly safe without additional packing.
