Like a lot of guys, my boyfriend is in the habit of using his wallet 'til it comes apart. So I decided I would make him one.

I fused the synthetic leather to some heavy duck cloth to make it more durable. The trim is extra wide double fold bias tape. The ID pocket is made from a piece of a plastic bag (the one my comforter came in). It's simple but my BF doesn't like fancy wallets so it will suit him just fine.
I'm debating adding Velcro for closures.

ETA: I made my own pattern using one of my dad's old wallets as a guide.

It has clean lines and is neither fancy or thick, just what guys like.

Thanks. I just hope it holds up to the abuse.

Thanks Cheesy
I think if I had made him a fancy one he wouldn't use it. He's a utilitarian sort of person.

I like it - it is elegant, less is more.

Thanks Cheesy
I like simple myself. I'm thinking of making a wallet for me now because mine is a bit ragged.
