pinokeeo--what a lot of work, but so worth it...are you doing more inside the trailer as well?  It seems like you will have a lot of projects just doing things in there!  Great find, though...

This was last year's project.  We have done a lot of work to get it cleaned up on the inside.  Gammykatie made the cushions and a rug for it, and I did all the woodwork.  It didn't leak, so we were lucky there.  And we've had it out several times since then.  It's quite cozy.  We even took our kitty and she approves.  We still have to do the outside, but that will come.

Nice cushions, really made the inside look good fast! And I recognize that green foam...

The rocker has a coat of spray paint, but it needs a light sanding and another coat. Have to wait for good weather (it's the end of April, enough with the below freezing stuff already!).  My biggest dilemma is the seat.  I was thinking woven straps and a cushion top, but a wood base is another option (though the harder one, since I'd have to shape it with the jig saw, and it'd be slow going).

Alrighty, here goes! These chairs have been hanging around forever; they were in okay shape when I bought them at at consignment shop about 15 years ago and I had removed the skirts and made slipcovers for them. Since then, the foam has gone kaput and the slipcovers mysteriously vanished in a move.  Huh That's okay though because they were brown and I'd much rather have something a bit brighter.

Eew.

New fabric. Yay!

Has anyone found anything weird in their furniture while tearing it apart? So far I have discovered one large googly-eye, a cider bottle cap, a piece of dried cheese (?), a battery, and that stupid Lego part that I really needed a year ago. So nothing too weird but that was only the first chair. Blech. I think I am going to go vacuum.

I have a cleaning schedule that is supposed to take care of situations like that.

When I have time to clean, that is.  Cheesy

Those chairs are fantastic...clean classic lines...the fabric is perfect for them!

I think I might leave all the stuff that falls down into the chair cushions for future generations... Cheesy

I found buttons, change, and a few really small toys in cushions before. That fabric is going to be great on those chairs!

Smeddley- you're so brave! I've never tackled an entire couch before. chairs are pretty much my limit.

pinokeeo- the new trailer cushions look great. My mom aquired an old travel trailer that she plans on fixing up to use as display space at her store.
