So I had this boring wooden bathroom cabinet (flat pack), bought cheaply at a DIY store, but I wanted to make it a little more interesting. I had thought of painting it, but I have such fabulous fabrics in stash..and I also had a bag of little patchwork squares. They are really little about 1.5 inch squares and while I love patchwork, I definitely don't have patience for sewing tiny squares, so I thought I would use them for this.

very simple, I just sanded down all the wood and using standard PVA stuck down the fabric on the sides, top and bottom. and then used the little fabric squares on the inside of the  back and around the door.

I added a bit of glitter to the plain wooden door knob

NB I did all the gluing BEFORE the cabinet was assembled. So I had to snip holes in the fabric where the screws had to go.

That's so fun! I love the squares on the inside. You make my bathroom cabinet look so boring.  Cheesy Didn't even think it needed a makeover...until now!

I love it. This has such a bright and happy feeling to it. And I can see your duvet-to-be as a background. Wink

That is because your current photo-showing-program reads the orientation off the jpg-file your camera produced. Download IrfanView and look at the files again - they'll all be sideways. Luckily, you can rotate them in IrfanView and save them after that. THEN they'll really be in portrait format. Maybe your current program has an option somewhere asking you if it should rotate photos to desired format. Then you could check that, but I guess you'd have to save them after opening to really get them rotated.
