In IKEA in dublin, in their bargain corner, the sometimes have a bin of textiles, this ranges from sheets/pillowcases that customers have dragged over the floors, to swatches of fabrics for display. The best thing is that these are sold by volume and not weight or area. They have plastic bags and you can fill a bag for 10e. As a complete bargain hound, I dive in and roll the fabrics as tightly as possible..and generally clear out the bin (assuming someone hasn't gotten there first) the last time I did was there, I got a duvet cover, about 6 pillow cases and quite a few random bits of fabric..including this swatch printed with huge lips..

now DD is a rocky horror picture fan and so I made this duvet cover for her bed...all from stash... I used a pink stripe to add length and width..and the same pink fabric for the back....Everything was measured by holding it up against the actual duvet (comforter??) and fabric ripped, rather than cut (I am impatient!)

quick and easy..and fun!

I love personal swaps, for supplies, surprises, flamingo themed things and general silliness.

Would love some hand knitted socks for my big foot boyfriend.
