Hey guys!

My goal is to open up an Etsy shop to list my jewelry on.. but I'm not really sure how to price it. I want to keep things affordable because I realize that most of my stuff may appeal to a younger audience. I also don't use sterling silver or genuine gold materials. I don't really have a price at which these things cost me to make because honestly, most of the materials were found in my jewelry stash that I started building years ago just to make trinkets for myself, or were recycled from other items. I'm hoping that I can clear out some of this stuff and make a little pocket change to get more/better materials. Here's some samples of the type of things I make:

Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone have any tips on calculating shipping? I plan on using a simple padded brown envelope..

Thanks so much!!

Cute earrings! Made me click! Loving the owls too!

To help with pricing... think like a buyer rather than a seller... think, "what would I pay for this?"
You can research etsy for similar items... search for anchor dangle earrings & see what the range is.

You don't want to undercut yourself for your materials & time involved though...so don't undervalue what you do.

For shipping, you can take a package to your post office & have them weigh & calculate the shipping to get a broad idea for what it could be.

I ship smallish items too & my shipping is generally $3.25 for the first item because of the way I package my items in individual boxes & always include a card + I live many miles from the nearest post office, so gas & travel times are also considered.

If you live close to your post office & package your items differently, you may be able to charge a bit less than I do.

Good luck with etsy!   Wink
