Okay, I decided to try it out and join. I can't wait to start printing! Question though, is batiking counted as printing. I've seen a technique where they use stamps with the wax to get really intricate patterns, but I didn't know if batiking was more of a dying technique and not really applicable for this swap?

I'm not sure if batiking would qualify, but if you talk to your partner and they're ok with you trying it out for the fabric you're sending I'm ok with it.

Will do, maybe it would work to batik the background and stamp on top of it? It'll all be up to what my partner wants of course.

I'm totally loving how many people are getting inspired by image repro!

I had withdrawal symptons after leaving art college so pay membership to use a community printing workshop. The facilities are amazing.

I went there yesterday and did a bit of printing...

This was the before shot of my new jumper. I'm just about to print the hot air balloons Smiley using a water based textile ink.

Can't wait to get this swap going and make something rad for one of you lovely folk  Grin

Oh jeez. . . Signups end three days before I'm eligible to swap. Is there any way the deadline could be extended to May 1st? I just joined Craftster this month (leather and lace is my daughter; she got me hooked Wink) and this swap looks like a lot of fun and pretty easy for my first one.

As long as there are not any objections, I'm ok with moving the end of sign ups to the 1st.
