I sent in my questionnaire! I wonder, is there anyone else who might be sending a full yard of fabric? I mentioned doing that, but of course it depends on what my partner wants to do, too.

I just sent in my questionnaire and I'm wanting a full yard too! I want to make a skirt or two with funky prints, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get the fabric for it.  Cheesy

I said id like to do up to half metres and wouldnt mind more than one partner  Grin ah cant wait to see what everyone gets up to!!

Okay.  I is signed up.  I is scared.  I is intimidated.  (As said in The Help)

This is my first swap and my first attempt at 'fabric' printing.  I need a more appropriate logon name as I ain't so wise.  I will probably be one of those people who use potato stamps.  Where the stamp is a potato!

I am hoping that some of my other art skills translate over to fabric printing.  But please put me with an open-minded partner just in case, okay?

I did some research and it looks like there's a medium to add into acrylic paints (which I already have) so that I may not have to purchase/store fabric paints.  Storage is a premium right now!  Has anyone tried this medium?

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Does sunpainting count?

If so, I might jump in.

i'm really contemplating this one! i've done lots of stencils on smaller scales but never a FQ or a yard full!

i'm wondering if everyone is thinking of doing repetitive prints or creating a scene?

Don't worry, you'll be fine! I've actually used that medium that you're talking about; mine is Delta Ceramcoat textile medium. So far it has worked wonderfully for me, but I can honestly say I haven't used it a lot. The biggest project I did was a hooded towel with the Batman logo for my nephew, and my brother says it is holding up well through the wash. It adds flexibility to the paint, though it was a bit stiff when first applied. I think it would work great for this.

Personally, I was hoping to receive a more repetitive one since I will be cutting a lot of shapes out of it. Also, I would prefer to send a repetitive print if I end up sending a whole yard, just because it would be easier to print that way. But I'll wait and see what my partner is thinking; we might have to compromise.

I never thought about creating a scene on the fabric, but it'd be my luck that I'd screw up the final element and wreck the whole thing. I've never used the textile medium, either, but it's something I'd like to try out, especially if I do stamped fabric instead of silkscreening. I definitely don't want to work on a larger piece of fabric, but I'd be willing to swap more than one FQ!
