I recently subscribed to a quilting magazine and my first copy came last week.  As I was looking through it, I came to a section where people send in pictures of quilts they have made from past issues.  I saw this and just knew I had to make it, even if I didn't have that issue.  Some ingenuity with a photocopier helped me create a pattern and I was able to make this little gem.  It's about 10" x 24" and adds lots of springy colors to my dining room walls.

A close-up of the flower reveals the little bee I found on a piece of yellow fabric I had.

I love it. Especially the bee on the flower - nifty detail!

Very nice!  and I love that you finagled your own pattern for it!  It's always just that much more fun when it's something you were able to do on your own, eh?

Yeah, it was fun to have the challenge of creating my own pattern.

You're the one who made me discover Quiltmaker.  You mentioned it in your Giant Block Baby Quilt post and I checked it out, like it and subscribed.
