My grandmother taught me how to smock a few months before she passed away, and this is my 1st completed project!  It took me quite a while to complete it, but I was oh so proud when I finished it!

Wow! Those stitches are so pretty and dainty!  (And it looks like a lot of hard work!).

It is lovely that your Grandmother was able to pass this skill on to you.

Beautiful! Always admired people who smock by hand. Such a beautiful outcome when done well, and this is done excellent. Your Grandmom is proud, I bet. Smiley

WOW!!  Smocking is one of those things that just blows my mind!  I have an unfinished piece that my mom did in my fabric stash.  I have no idea what to do with it, but every time I run across it I'm amazed all over again.  Beautiful work!!!

Beautiful work.  I haven't smocked anything in years but really need to try again.

I've always wanted to smock but am daunted by all those gathers and getting them precise.  You have done such a beautiful piece of work.  Lovely.  I particularly like the heart outlines.
