Homeschooling explains a lot of my crafts!

I made this little doll as a surprise for my One Awesome Harry Potter thing partner.
Each accessories was carefully specifically designed for the doll, handmade by me using various technique: handstitching, crocheting, needlefelting and knitting. The doll itself was made according to the Waldorf pedagogy of dollmaking. It is made of organic cotton and filled with uncarded wool. The face was carefully shapped with strings before getting covered by the fabric. He even has a little nose. The eyes are embroidered with cotton floss and his hairs were inserted one by one by looping strands of yarn into a crocheted wig cap made on mesure. He is fully undressable.

Along I sent two sweaters - W and Gryffindor quidditch- a Molly-style quilt and a house scarf that are knitted.
The leather Quidditch helmet, school robes and uniform, broom, wand and little shoes, pillow are handstitched, while the pants are corcheted and Pigweadgon is needlefelt. There's also a tiny book- I bet it's about Quidditch!

I took me all the 5 weeks allowed for NEWT, mainly because I did other things while making him and his little things Smiley
We all love him and sent him with a little pinch. Ron is not my favorite character so it helped!

My daughter loves him dearly, but she's used to have to let go on dolls. She asked me to whom it was going, and I told her it was for our friend that made the tree stump. She said " OH! I LOVE our stump!!" and was happy Ron was going to Abbee. She was also thrilled to see action shots (me too!!!!):

Thanks abbee for the wonderfull awesome swap! Cheesy

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

A beautifully made doll, whether or not you are an HP fan,  and his outfits and accessories are just delightful.  I think my favourite is the W jersey.
