I had a go at drafting a pattern from a website that I cannot now find, but this   http://marmaladekiss.blogspot.ie/2010/03/pencil-perfection.html is similar (and looks a little better)

So I just used some fabric from stash to have a go, but to make it a little more walkable in, added a contrasting panel of pleats to each side. It has no waistband (to minimise bulk at the top) and is fully lined instead with a side zip. I also added a few little heart shaped buttons for fun.

OK no idea what is going on with my expression in this pic..DD is not the keenest photographer!...

I

this is better!

the colour doesn't read properly in this picture, the main fabric is pink and the panels at the side black and white, the buttons are pink..but it gives you an idea of what it looks like

Comments and criticism very welcome.

Love the skirt! The ruffles in a slightly different fabric are so pretty!
I like the buttons too, ha I just like your skirt!!  Cheesy

(And lets say that the photographer was distracted by that fancy skirt  Wink )
