I've wanted to make a Katwise inspired sweater coat for years, but it has always been one of those "one day I might just do this"-projects. After cleaning my closet a few weeks ago I realized that I had quite a lot if sweaters that I never wear, so I decided to finally try it.

As much as I love rainbow colours and long hoods I'd probably never wear a coat like this, so I made a version in black and dark grey and added some lace to it.

I still feel like I have to make a long version with a hood and loads of colours because it's so pretty, but then again... now I have my own version that actually fits my style Cheesy

And those were my sweaters:

Lovely and very wearable. I only have two sweaters saved towards my Katwise coat *lol* I think it won't be made this year  Wink

Two sweaters are a start at least... I didn't think I had enough to make a coat and now I have quite a lot of fabric left to a) save for the next coat or b) make armwarmers with.
Thank you!

Beautiful coat.  I can't believe you made it from old sweaters.

It's beautiful! I prefer darker colors too, I love this coat!

I've thought about it, myself, but wow. This is a gorgeous gothic version. Awesome.

Great job! I like the simpler sweaters like this, they're a lot easier to wear out and about Smiley
