Hey guys! I am back with some more polymer clay work of mine.

I always love coming back to Craftster. Back when I started working with polymer clay about 5 or 6 years ago, this was the spot to be! I learned so much on this site.

What I wanted to show you today was MechOwlie No.48, named Atticus. I thought it sounded like a rather smart name. You see, Atticus really likes to read, and he may not have any babies... but his nest holds his most treasured items - his books.

His nest has been built with many many many scraps of wire, and there is a large central gear and many little gears weaved into the wire. The books are old and worn - well loved, it seems!

The MechOwlie is sculpted from polymer clay, as are the books. They've all been finished off with a black and dark brown patina with satin glaze. Smiley Little findings were added, as well, and I made his glasses out of aluminum wire.

I love him, he is so detailed and awesome.  I also love how the nest compliments him perfectly.

Wow!  Amazing!  I can see how much work went into this project!  Atticus reminds me a little of the mechanical owl in the original Clash of the Titans.   Cheesy

Wow, Atticus is amazing! I'm in awe at how much detail you were able to fit into so little space, and he's so cute in a mechanical sort of way. Cheesy
