I personally always preferred to paint the eyes on because I feel I can give them more expression that way.
But those "3D" look of safety eyes  is cool too.

my first batch of Suncatcher eyes came in - I'm so glad I ordered from them!

I cheated.... I found a craft store about 30miles away (yep...i really made the drive...) and bought plain old brown teddy bear eyes and orange cat eyes (was all they had anyway...) and busted out my trusty dremel XD and my lovely engraving bit...only takes me about 2min per eye to slowly grind out the color and paint over it XD the smaller eyes are faster but if I go to fast the dremel skips and hits the outer eye....and meh...thats a pain

If you want to avoid potentially damaging them with a dremel, I just try to get as much of the paint off as I can with nail polish remover, and then what is remaining I just sandpaper. It probably doesn't take more than 5 minutes or so an eye.

I've got about 1/4 to 1/3rd inch of colored plastic on my eyes xD i tried nail polish remover and a small nail sander.... nothing touched it (hence why I got mad and busted out the dremel ha ha ha !!)

Sharpie's Stained fabric markers are awesome for drawing faces on poppets, gotta be careful though the ink flows so easily!

Yep! This is the one- the other one was just to see if there was any interest in holding the swap again this year!

Everyone will be required to post in this thread at least once a week with an update regarding their status
once the swap goes live!
