I can't wait to get my package!! You need to get some sleep "Tenitsu" I hope everything works out for your family. Smiley Your sewing area looks well used & organized pretty good. Your 2 Poppets there look pretty cute!!

"bambam91" sorry your having dificult on your legs. Hope it works out for you!! Cheesy

"Kookaloo_Star" that idea of putting our extra parts into one might be fun!!  Wink
It wood be so much fun if we could all get together & work on something like  making doll stands or how to do the nose, etc. it would be so much fun!! Grin
I'm of a hands on person , I need visual & tactile to get it!

What I do with the nose is put a small bead with a bit of glue on it & hold it in the nose area until it dries a bit & then stuff & stuff!!  It seams to work for me.

I've made the nose-shape out of polymer clay before, but I have found that I much prefer just stuffing it regularly.

And I can't believe we already have a package in the mail- I'm going to have to make a gallery soon! Cheesy

My poppet has attached arms and legs. I found the needle jointing really easy except I was uaing silcon thread instead of upholstery thread and I kept snapping it. So I used upholstery thread and did not have an issue!!

I have half of ________ done. Wow poppet clothes are annoyingly small and frustrating at times.

Thanks for a ll the nose tricks! Has anybody tried to wrap stuffing around a bead or so to give it more shape stability?

I go polymer clay every time...it makes the head take a lot longer to create, but I find that it creates a beautiful nose.  I'll admit, it really sucks to make a nose, stuff the heck out of the head, cook it, unstuff, apply eyes, and stuff again, but sometimes the end result is really worth it.

Have any of you tried air dry clay?  I use it for my noses and it works great. You can even make the stuff with cornstarch, baking soda and water. It usually takes overnight to harden but you can mold it the way you like inside the head and let it dry. You can make up a small batch and keep it in a plastic bag for noses. Works for me.

I'll be sewing away today.   Grin
