I wanted a new bright tote for the season.  I had this yellow home decor fabric on hand that I thought would be perfect!  The tote was a super simple construction, but I added some nicer bag hardware to take it to the next level!

To prepare the tote for this heavy hardware I had to reinforce the top a bit with some Peltex.  I also reinforced the bottom since the bag is quite large.

Finally, I took the time to add screw-in grommets which really make this tote a "looker".

I am super happy with the results.  This will get a TON of use this summer!

If you are interested in exactly how I transformed this simple tote into the "decked-out" version you see, you can read more and get my free tutorial here: http://sewplicity.blogspot.com/2013/04/tutorial-decked-out-summer-tote.html

Thanks for looking!

That's a really "happy" bag!  I love the addition of the grommets and the little lobster claw clips on the handles!

Very nice tote, and the fabric you chose is so cheerful.
