So I had this gorgeous cotton velvet lying around and totally had to do an awesome medieval dress with it.
Alas, it was not enough velvet to dress me... so my second daughter had to bear that burden. But even for her, the fabric STILL was not long enough - so okay, I remember having that vintage curtain fabric lying elsewhere, totally in-time with inwoven fleur-de-lys pattern... here you go, baby:

Now I'm sooooo jealous.

Oh, that is beautiful! I love the Scarlet-O'Hara-meets-the-middle-ages story. The finished product looks exquisite. You have one lucky daughter!

Oh no, I don't think the fabric will live through that. See, the golden curtain was a reminiscence of MY childhood, being the livingroom curtain at my time...
