Oooh, not good having crafters down!  Sad  Hope you guys get better soon!

Well, I completed my back-up June Battle project in the nick of time, and while pushing it to the last minute is a wee bit stressful (especially since I am notoriously bad at figuring out how long knitting and crochet projects take!) at least I don't have to wait long for the next set of challenges!  Cheesy

(Edit: better soon, not "batter" soon... can you tell I was just looking at recipes and might be a wee bit hungry?!)

Anyone else suddenly want some cake?

Mmmm, perhaps the guy Ludi's making a sculpture of chose death instead of cake  Cheesy

Looking forward to next month's prompts! I still have ideas for May and June but more is better (not batter  Wink )

I was wondering: have any of you also printed off the lists with craft prompts? I carry them with me on the train in my backpack, so that if I have to stop crocheting to give my wrists a break, I can start planning the next craft! I'm really looking forward to July's prompts!

I printed the May list, and jotted down the June list.  It took me awhile to come up with ideas for a couple of the June prompts, and so I'm about a week behind, hoping to finish June by the end of this week.  And I always seem to need to buy a few more supplies.....the nerdalong is definitely being an anti-stashbust for me.  Tongue

The July challenges are - challenging!   Shocked
Maybe at first glance, but I think most have simple crafty solutions.  Examples to get y'all's muses singing...

Textbook: Remember it is inspired by (though you are more than welcome to craft hearts, brains, skeletons).  Digestive could be a new recipe.  Nervous could be something that calms you, like the sound of windchimes.  Reproductive could be baby items (hats, booties, blankies).

Multimedia: Anything that goes together...earrings, socks, hooplas/ATCs in same theme.

Wordy: Multitudes of proverbs to choose from.  Here's a list of 1,000 proverbs to get you started.  Ideas.."A penny saved is a penny earned" perhaps a piggy bank.  "Home is where the heart is" could be anything you make for your home.  "Mustn't cry over spilled milk." could be tea towels or dishcloths to clean up spill.

Fandom: anything that could be in a geekdom (and with so many to choose from)...Wands or Potions bottles for HP.  Fairies for Fantasy.  Earbud cozies for music.  Jolly Rogers for Pirates.  Blankets to hide under for Spooky.  ...the field is wide open here

Randomizer:  Besides obvious dino items...You can dive into anything from the 1970s and back.  Try out a 50s cocktail or recipe, granny squares for 60s, and most all crafty venues have a stitch or technique that dates back; a quick internet search should do the trick.

Battle: Marvel & DC have a TON of characters.  Choose one you love and craft something INSPIRED by them.  You can sell it in your description. (I'm lenient, so if you just try to link it, I'm pretty good)

Hope that helps! Grin

I didn't print the lists, but I did write them all neatly down in my notebook, one page dedicated for each month. And I carry it around in my backpack as well. Sadly, I haven't been completing projects lately, so I have lots of half completed things and lots of ideas (include the June battle entry, that is sitting in the fridge waiting for the final steps of the recipe).
Hopefully July will be my month.

For the July Randomizer by "vintage pattern 1970s or before", do you think it would count if I did a Beatles painting? I have a painting that I have been meaning to do for a friend using some of the Yellow Submarine artwork and the album released in 1969.
