I read a lot of Ray Bradbury as a youngster, so I'm thinking about his many spooky tales....

Ooh, I loved the short story where they went to Mars and it was just like home... don't remember what it was called, but I loved it!  And Farenheit 451! (Although that one wasn't so much spooky as just disturbing... burning books - *gasp*!  NOOOOOO!!)

Wall-mounted TVs and Dora the Explorer (along with those other shows that encourage kids to "interact" with the program) always freak me out thanks to Mr. Bradbury.

I had TONS of favorite books as a kid. Now to pick just one...And take care of other things on the to-do list  Roll Eyes

Yes, "The Veldt" - what a classic!   Smiley  Or maybe you're referencing "Fahrenheit 451"?

My research project "Hogwarts Cookbook" is slow in coming along.  I am only including recipes that I have tried and like so I only have 25 pages so far.  It doesn't make for a very large "book".  I guess I'll have to find recipes that at least sound good so I will have more pages.

This sounds super fun, but I have a few questions before I consider joining. I don't want to muddle things up after the fact. Tongue

1. What is a ninja?

2. Is there a requirement for how many projects need to be entered throughout the craftalong? My schedule gets really chaotic (I'll have nothing going on for a couple weeks, when next thing I know I'm not at home except to eat and sleep). Would I be risking losing pts for my team?

3. Do we have to part of every geekdom a team represents? (For example, Team of Ships and Men has a few I've never seen before)

4. Can we declare our own set of geekdoms?

I'm really sorry if these questions have been asked before. With 80+ pages to this thread, I just didn't know where to look. Thanks so much!

let's see if I get these right.  Tongue

1.  a person who is working independently.  someone who is not part of a team.

2.  nope.  craft as much or as little as you wish.

3.  oh no.  if you don't know some parts of a geekdom, that's perfectly fine.  work with what you know.  but you can also learn about other parts of the geekdom.

4.  this one I'm not really sure about.  I know you kinda can if you're a ninja, but I'm not sure about teams.  pinkleo or someone a little clearer on this would definitely be helpful here.   Cheesy
