So, I've decided I'm going to jump in this summer's games as a ninja, with declared geekdoms of Doctor Who and Lord of the Rings. That should cover most every idea I have so far Smiley
Happy to have you join! Grin  Note though that you have 2 very different Geekdoms, and players can only have one.  But don't fear, you don't have to craft just one geekdom (or any for that matter); you just have to have one Geekdom declared for the games (mostly for the Super Nerdy Bonuses).  Post or PM if you have any questions.Smiley

...P.S. I have added your Geekdom as LotR until I hear word of a change Cool

Averia, I love your research project! Somehow, I missed what the technique is, and now I'm intrigued. It is very cool looking and is producing a gorgeous result!

And, I swear I will be crafting a June item in June! It might only be the challenge, but at least it'll be something. It could end up being a nice, easy project to celebrate my last day of the school year (two more days!).

Thanks for all the encouragement! I can't take any credit for the design - Nimuae on deviant art did a pictorial tutorial that got plastered all over pinterest for a bit. the summer nerd games made me finally dig in to figure it out and make one for myself. I think it is considered macrame but in a way it feels like making one ginormous friendship bracelet in a circle instead of a thin strip.

Averia!
That is so amazing!
You are chock-full of the talent!!!

I've had a weird week, I sprained the thumb on my dominant hand and therefore acquired "De Quervain's". A form of tendonitis.
I'm waiting for the splint to arrive and have no idea when I'll be allowed to knit/crochet/stitch.
They say around 6 weeks.

I think what I've got for crafty planning may luckily be not in those three catagories!

Let this be a lesson for all:
Lifting your dad's way too heavy grocery bag may be dangerous to your crafting!

 That darn dad! Wink

I'll try to keep up as best I can!

Get well soon, Blair!  But I suspect you'll find some ways to be crafty while you heal.... Wink
