Can I be on more than one team? Kinda like a pinch hitter for teams who don't have very many members?

I'm really curious how the research items and such work. I've never participated in a craftalong like this before...though I'm thinking possible "clothing type" ideas may come under this category.

SO EXCITED to start!! 5 more days!!

I have a question about posting the supporting documentation for the nerdiness of our craft.  Does the entire thesis have to be posted in the nerd-along thread or can we start a thread elsewhere (such as in the particular category of craft in which we're working, say, needlework) and link to it?  I guess I'm concerned about clogging up the nerd thread with long-winded supporting explanations....  Also, if we don't want to jinx ourselves or reveal "spoilers" for a research project, even if it isn't for a swap, can we PM the NerdMaster instead of posting the proposal in the nerd-along thread?

I'm probably thinking about all this far too much....   Tongue

Players can only be on one team.  But you can craft any geekdom.  (teams/geekdom declarations are for those super bonus points Cool)

For Research Projects, you just propose what you are attempting.  (This is so we can assure that it took you at least 3 weeks to complete and to cheer you on as you do your research.)  You can propose basically anything as a Research Project, the only requirement is that it takes you at least 3 weeks to complete (no categories that it must fit into).  I want to encourage and reward those who take on long term projects (with more pointage given, 100 points).  Another point on Research Projects, you can only propose one at a time.  Once you finish one project, you can propose another.

About Research Crafting Time Guideline: There is no hard and fast rule on how many hours a project should take, because speed and difficulty levels are too subjective.  What I am really looking for is a project that will be a personal challenge to you.

What if you finish a project earlier than expected?  Projects that do not take the allotted time of crafting will not be counted as complete; keep that in mind when you post your completed projects.  If you finish your project earlier than expected, then craft an additional item(s) that correspond with your project.  Add notes on how you finished earlier than expected and details about your additional crafting in your Completed Project post.

I'm pretty well-versed in the Nerdyverse so clear, but short explanations will suffice.  Also, I'm not a tough judge.  If one tries to link it to a Geekdom, then I'm good.  You can link to other project pages (please post projects in their correlating categories on Craftster)  And I'll be giving a mini-tute for those who fear they are posting spoilers (though warnings will be put up that spoilers may be in the Nerd Games....it's inevitable.

Also, don't worry about overwhelming the Nerd Games thread. Grin

Hope that helps!
