Hi! I found this lovely fabric in black, camel and purple. It looks like something between suede and velvet but it isn't stiff, it drapes nicely. Off course I bought some meters of all the available colors! With the purple I made this pleated dress, which I swear is much better in person:

Cute dress. Looks great on you.

Did you draft this yourself or did you follow a pattern?

I really like that! It is very flattering on you, too!

The fact that it is purple means it can do no wrong. I love purple!  Grin

That's beautiful.  I love the pleats - they really suit the color and drape of the fabric.  You're amazing!

Great looking dress!  The fabric looks very luxurious...and it seems to be holding the pleats well!  That pattern gives a nice shape, too...I love it!

It looks great on you. It even looks great on its own. Cheesy
Would you mind linking the pattern, if possible and allowed?
I'd love to have such a great dress myself... Smiley

thank you:) It' s a pattern from a very old burda magazine so there is no link, sory:( The issue is 10/2007. But it is not difficult to draft it yourself , it's a simple fitted bodice with an A-line skirt with pleats.

Then I'll take a try on drafting it myself. Come to think of it, I have to alter so much using patterns, the difference ought to be small...

Smiley)) if you need so many alterations it's better to do it yourself!  The skirt has a very slight A-line  which begins from the waist
