No before photos but basically this was one of those straight, almost house-coat type dresses with one small pocket on the side that added extra weight to that one hip. It hit below knee in an awkward spot too. The sleeves originally had a large cuff and hit the top of the elbow.

I gave the front a straight hem and the back is slightly scooped. There is a small 1 inch cuff on the sleeve and I stitched a half an inch in.

Pretty simple...took maybe an hour because it's the first thing I've sewn in about two years. I bought this dress for $3 on a Wednesday at the Salvation Army down the street and now I have a great top and some extra fabric to play around with.
