I got really interested in card-weaving (some people call it tablet-weaving) because of the complex patterns you can easily make.  Bookmarks are a great way to experiment with colors and patterns and they make up really quickly because you don't need to do any finishing except cutting them apart.

Here are a few recent ones.  They're made with perl cotton that's left over from my mom's projects on her floor loom.

The front and back side of card-weaving has distinctly different patterns, which I think is also really cool.  Here are two sides of the blue and white bookmark.

(Hopefully my pics of the next set will be more in focus.)   Undecided

How interesting!  The patterns are lovely and look very complex!

Can you show an action picture?  I am not sure what card weaving is... Sad

Nice bookmarks, I like the patterns. I love the versatility of card/ tabletweaving. So many patterns you can do... And different techniques, like brocading or skipped holes. Look forward to your next set!

Thank you.   Cheesy

I will try to get some action shots and maybe a tutorial up in the next few weeks.  It's really addicting and you can do it without any special equipment.
