Basically what you would have to do is take your partners favorite movie, book, or television theme, and create a game that is based on it. Like The Walking Dead Monopoly, or Doctor Who Jenga. You will have to create a whole interactive game that can be played with at least 2 players. It could also be an adult theme game, that focus's on themes such as the fandom of Johnlock. Anyone interested. If so I would probably start this around the first of May.

I would be interested in joining. How long would you give to complete the project? My only fear is that I would be required to make a game for a book I've never read and wouldn't have enough time to research the book/movie/whatever and then make the game. Would you be keeping this in mind and trying to pair people with similar interests or factor that into the length of time to complete the game?

But it does sound really fun! I was actually looking up board game pieces on Amazon the other night because I was thinking of wanting to make a board game but didn't have any inspiration to start one.

This sounds like an awesome idea! But I have similar concerns to MissSadieMae, this swap is very open to any interest, so partners will be difficult.

I was actually concerned about the book also, because I have a hard time getting into them, so it takes me a while to read one. Hence why I usually don't. But yes I would keep into account the themes of each participant. I would make sure to match people with interests around your own. Also you will be required to list at least 3 options for your partner to choose from. Unless it is noted they don't mind picking up a new show or book. Since games have to be thought out to make sure they are fun and interesting, the length of time to create would be either 1 1/2 to 2 months.

Ah ok. That does sound much more doable with having multiple themes to choose from. And maybe instead of just 3 themes, 3 movies/tv and 3 books? That way for people who don't read much wouldn't have the problem of having 3 book themes to choose from.
