So... I sort of had an idea while I was thinking about mug rugs for the upcoming swap... and I made this as a sort of proof of concept design. It's a tea wallet, that opens out into a mug rug

Inside, there are a couple of pockets for tea / biscuits, as well as space to use as a coaster. Then when your tea break is over, just fold it up to go in your bag, with remaining tea* safe inside

*and empty pocket where biscuits used to be...

I kept the whole design really simple as I was mostly interested in if it would work as an idea, but I'm pretty pleased with it and I think it should be fairly versatile in terms of customisation if I make more in future.
It's cotton and wool felt lining, so absorbent and machine washable.

I don't actually use those kind of paper wrapped tea bags (I prefer plain builders) so possibly I'm reinventing the wheel and all tea wallets are duel purpose Smiley

Good idea. Sometimes it's hard to find something to rest your hot mug on...and now you have the perfect spot for your "spot of tea."
