I've been making monsters out of bunches of felted wool sweaters I collected from thrift stores and such, here's a thread with an obscene amount of them
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=421751.msg5003438#msg5003438
And even more
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=422022.0#axzz2OryPMPwZ
and these are the ones I had left after I ran out of stuffing. My friends work at the local library in town and are thinking these creatures would make a fun display so wow, and yay! That's exciting! Hope they don't scare any kids, lol!

My personal fave!

Another amazing...gaggle?...Pod?...Brood? of monsters clm.  You've done a great job of making them look all so different from each other.  I hope the library thing works out and makes you a ton of money Grin

I like the last 2 best.  The last one reminds me of the new Sherlock Holmes from England.  And the second to last reminds me of so many Pro Wrestlers Grin

Pro Wrestler monster! LOL!!

I put teeth on the two that didn't have any, I like the look better. And I put them ALL up at the library because they invited me to do an exhibit and the monsters were totally gung ho to hang out with the books! Hope they don't eat any during the night, that would be a lil' hard to explain to the librarians!

Love them! I "collect" thrift store sweaters. I"ve found some cashmere, alpaca and angora .They don't fit me but they were soooo soft I just had to buy them. Maybe I'll turn them into something I can handle everyday and not feel guilty about hoarding them.

This is EXACTLY how I got into this trouble! Oh man, I can not resist a natural fiber anything at the thrift store. It boggles me to find such treasures cast away like that, I rescue them as often as I can. And then I find myself with a gargantuan pile of ill-fitting, holey, sometimes hideously ugly sweaters and what do you do then eh? Well, Monster Time! LOL. Trouble is, now people are bringing me their old sweaters they don't want any more :/. I'll never be free of the stash.

How about calling them a "trouble of monsters"? Seems fitting to me Cheesy.

If anybody wants to look at them all and pick some faves I'd be obliged Smiley. I need to use up the sweaters that have been dropped off at my house and have run out of steam. Time for a repeating pattern I think. Imagine that, me using a pattern, HA!
